When Olav Thon founded Rainbow Hotels in 1989, the idea was to provide centrally located bed and breakfast hotels at reasonable prices. After comprehensive renovations and re-profiling work, the Chain changed its name in October 2005 to Thon Hotels. Thon Hotels is divided into three concepts: Thon Budget, Thon City and Thon Conference.
